We had Fall Break Mon & Tues (Oct 17th & 18th). What a treat. It was going to be nice, so I wanted to take advantage of the nice fall weather and do some things we just don't get to do as often without our hang out days!! On Monday we went to the zoo. Yes, I toted all 3 kids solo. It was nice to meet our sweet friends Kate and Mary there. The kids did great and it was nice to get to the zoo for a quick visit.
Megan and Wyatt strolled and Charlie was in the Bjorn. Poor Wyatt didn't get to get in and out as much this trip...just too hard to keep up with him. Megan was a trooper and would walk a bunch or ride so Wyatt was happy to have his pal next to him.

The next day we headed over to Granny White Park. It looked like it might rain so it wasn't too crowded but we ran around and had a little picnic lunch. It was the first time, Megan was denied a friend. She loves to meet new people and always looking for a new friend and there was a group of older kids she so wanted to play with and they really wanted nothing to do with her. She was trying so hard to play with them, till finally she came over to Wyatt and I and told us they wouldn't play with her. I was so heartbroken for her, but really these kids weren't ones that i wanted her playing with anyways..they were throwing sticks and doing stuff that really wasn't kid friendly!! She did meet a few other friends but in her words "they were younger and she didn't want to play with her brother." She did well with the denial but just kept watching every move they made hoping maybe they would call her name & include her. She ended up having a ball playing at the park with or without friends!!
