This past weekend I went to Colorado to attend Ben's ordination. Megan and Mark stayed in Nashville, next post is on their weekend. It was a quick trip with crazy weather. I flew in Sat afternoon to mid 30's and 12 inches of snow. It was wild. Luckily everyone who traveled out made it without too many delays. Me, well we all know flying with me is never easy, I was delayed in Charlotte for a few hours, but made it just in time for a big party at my parents house Sat night. Sunday was the ordination ceremony at my dad's church. It was a great ceremony. The weather was sunny and 60's. It was a beautiful day, so us TN rednecks didn't look ridiculous in our spring dresses and sandals. After a nice reception at the church a few of us headed to the airport to head back home. Ben is now officially a Presbyterian minister. Can't believe it, we are so proud. He has a special service in May at Westminster to officially welcome him as the Associate pastor of Youth and Families. Congrats Ben. Here are some pics from the weekend. It is nice when you have connections at the church and get pics taken during the ceremony!!!

Communion. First time to break the bread for Rev. Ben Kane

The stole presentation. This was a surprise gift that our family gave to Ben during the ordination. Tracy's mom did all of the details. It was a great gift and he really enjoyed it. The stole is personalized with symbols and important dates in Ben's life and road to ministry.
