Adventures from our first story time

Megan was invited to join Hobbs and Lee, her twin friends from school for library story time today. I have really put this adventure off, thinking she was too young and would not enjoy it. WRONG, the twins are 10days younger and their mom said the boys have started going and they really enjoy it and thought Megan would as well. She was right!!! Let's just say all "library rules and etiquette" are not followed during children's story time. We had our milk and snackees, which we shared with our friends and new friends, we clapped in the middle of the story and yelled "yeah" at the end of the songs and of course said "hi" to kids sitting around us, who were actually sitting and paying attention. The songs were a big hit at the beginning, by the time it was story time, the kiddos were out of the room, playing with puzzles and running down the book isles. They did return for their final act. At the end they sing a song and Megan, Hobbs and Lee are in the back of the room shaking and dancing-it was quite funny. Apparently at school they have learned some moves and were quite comfortable with their performance of the "wheels on the bus". What a fun time. Maybe next time we can make it though the actual story.
