We had a great 4th of July long weekend. Lot's of hanging out with friends and cook outs. We missed out on the neighborhood parade, but went to a birthday party with all our buddies in the big town of White House. On the actual 4th of July one of our neighbors had a big cook out. It was a feast with lots of kids. Wyatt didn't last until darkness & Megan talked a big game with the neighborhood kids about how she couldn't wait to see the fireworks. Once they started on the little ones she was ready to go inside. We managed to get her to watch them from the kitchen window. Afterwards she told us that the sky was just beautiful. I have to admit it was a little loud but we are so lucky to see so many different firework shows from the our driveway that watching them inside was quite nice. Now she can't wait to see the fireworks again and covers her ears when she is unsure of a situation that may have a loud boom!

Trying to get two active kids to cooperate..nearly impossible. Add sunshine to the situation and you are sure to have some eyes shut!
Poor Wyatt just takes it all and is pretty relaxed about it.
Relaxed to say the least. He finally just went limp and got comfortable. This is a face of a little boy who would rather be in bed than headed to a party. Different story for Ms. Social.
