The social calendar was quite full this past weekend. So not us anymore and I am worn out. Wow, how times have changed!! Thank goodness Mark was feeling better(he had food poisioning that put him down for two days and 5lbs lighter-he doesn't recommend this type of weight loss!)
Anyways Friday night was the Child at Heart auction and dinner for Megan's school. It was a great event and so good to visit with friends with out our kiddos. Seems all we do is pass each other in the halls and parking lot. We all look so different showered and fixed up. We were the winners of Megan's class art auction project. Yes, two for two. Last year was the cute rocker. Don't mess with the Horne's!! My competitive nature can get the best of me, even at a silent auction!! Again another year of amazing projects. They were all so unique and artsy...so not me. Now to find a cute place for our cute stool.
So sweet...even Mark got a little teary eyed reading it.
A side view.
On Saturday afternoon when it was FINALLY warm and sunny we went to a beer kick-off party. My co-worker from Vanderbilt Mark Dunkerly or better known as Dunk has a new beer he has brewed. He has been working on this for a while and it was so good to finally drink a cold one. The story is great as well. Half of the proceeds will go to Oasis. Drink beer and help a charity, my kind of drinking!! So all of my Nashville friends try some Jubilee. It is pretty good. Check out the website as well www.jubileebeer.com. It is only found in limited spots right now, but I think it will continue to grow. Congrats and so much fun to see old friends on a warm Saturday afternoon.
