Holy Hotness! What a day for the Country Music Marathon & 1/2

The family gathered this weekend for our annual race. Oh it has been tough, we haven't all been together in nearly 2-3 days!! Yesterday, was the 10th annual Country Music Marathon & 1/2. Team Kane/Horne was in full effect. Mark and Lydia ran the 1/2 and Jeremy & Tracy ran their first full marathon along with Dad Kane who ran his 2nd marathon. It was HOT, temperatures in the mid 80's, not ideal running conditions, but everyone did well and finished. Congrats to all the runners. The rest of us had our own work-out walking around cheering on our friends and family. Megan was a trooper. She was in heaven people watching and running around outside.  We were all worn out and hit the beds very early.

What adventure am I in for today?
Pre-run chat. Jeremy & Mark
Looking good Tracy at mile 20! Smile and she even turned around & ran backwards so I could get a picture-well done!
All this running has made me exhausted!
Finally gave up. Poor thing, her head was nodding back and forth until she passed out!
Mile 20 chat & refuel station. Dad Kane was HURTING. Keep going you can do it.
Dad and Megan(in Dad's glasses) after he finished.
Abby and Lydia chillin out in the shade after she finished her race. Good thought on the ice cold beer.
You can do it! Finishing his 2nd Marathon. It was HOT and he was a hurtin.
