What a busy Thanksgiving day we had. We started out the day running the 15th annual Boulevard Bolt 5 mile race. It is a huge race with over 8,000 runners. It is always great to see a bunch of our friends on a holiday morning. Thanks to Mama C and Aunt Becca who took care of Megan and Abby(Ben's dog). They had their own race to Starbucks. This race doesn't allow strollers or dogs. It turned out to be a great race and perfect weather.

After the race we all got ready and Mark, Megan and I headed over to his parents house for a Thanksgiving feast. It was a great meal and we were all together for the first time since Jeff and Ashlee's wedding. Megan had a great time hanging out with her cousins and they loved it that she could run around with them. She ate her first Thanksgiving meal. Of course her favorites were all the vegetables. One of the highlights was one of the games of hide-n-seek. This is Luke's favorite game these days and he wants everyone to participate. Well, in one of the games he told Uncle Mark that he would hide and he needed to find him. Mark of course got another plateful and then procrastinated the seek part, until I said, "you know Luke is still hiding." So Mark headed out to find him. After a little bit he came back in the dining room, stumped. A five year old had pulled one over on him. Then most of the adults started looking everywhere-even outside. About that time Gigi sees someone come out of the bathroom and says "we can't find Luke.". The response was, "well, he isn't in there." After a bit longer, someone went into the bathroom and opened up the shower curtain and there stands Luke. He had been in there for a long time and hadn't made a peep, including someone coming in and going to the bathroom. Luke is now the hide-n-seek champ. Uncle Mark you might want to keep one eye open when you play the next time.

Mid afternoon we headed over to my sisters house for Thanksgiving (meal #2). We all had cooked, which is always nice. She has just moved into a new house with brand new appliances. We broke in her new house with a Kane family bang. My mom was in charge of putting Mark's bird in the oven when she got over to her house-early afternoon. After a game of football and hanging out, it was time to get ready to eat. Tracy opened up the oven to see if there was space in the oven to put other food in there. After that someone smelt something burning. After opening the oven we had a small grease fire. It seems that Mark's bird pan had leaked. We got it under control. We opened up all the windows and doors, the fire alarms were beeping and all of us were standing outside. Welcome to the neighborhood! They got it all cleaned up and all was safe. Mark put the turkey on the grill and we cooled off the oven and then put in all the sides. Thanksgiving dinner was a little later than planned, but 7:15 ain't bad after an eventful evening. Everything was so delicious. It was great to be with all of my family. Poor Megan couldn't make it that late, so she was asleep while we ate. She had a busy day. We have a lot to be thankful for this year and it was a great long day!!

We had a great week with all of our family. Mama C and coach headed back Friday afternoon. I also got to see some old friends on Friday night. I can't believe it, but we also got our house decorated for Christmas.
